Favorite Songs

People often ask me what kind of music I like. I don't know; you tell me. Here is an incomplete list of my favorite songs. Especial favorites appear with strong emphasis (which unfortunately may look the same as a Show Title to Lynx users). Note that there are plenty of songs that I like a lot that didn't make the list. I had to draw the line somewhere. I tended to draw it more tightly for artists with longer lists.

If you know me and you think I've forgotten a song, let me know.

The sorting order of the artists is straightforward: Initial A/An/The is ignored, no words are reordered, non-alphanumeric characters are ignored, case is ignored. So “J. Geils Band” comes after “Janet Jackson” because jgeilsband comes after janetjackson. Digits preceed letters, as in ASCII.
