Soap Box

This is where I complain about some of my pet peeves, and declare how things ought to be done.

• The California energy crisis is the result of the state meddling with the market.

• Ambiguity in units of information (like megabytes) is unfortunately a lost cause.

• The modern English convention for surnames is burdensome and unfair. I propose a new convention.

• Quoting messages in replies is a great idea, when a small amount of care is exercised.

• Every URL that names a directory should end with a trailing slash.

• What is a "home page"?

• Why does everyone make "no" signs backwards?

• Quite a while back I cooked up an example of HTML-Abuse.
